Canan Harmancı Demirel

She was born in 1962 in İstanbul. After graduated from Mimar Sinan University Graphic Design Department in 1983, she has worked as a graphic designer in the textile sector until 2000. In 2007, she had started to study in Classic Art Education Center of the Directorate of National Palaces and and in miniature lessons from Taner Alakuş at İsmek. She has created many artworks with Taner Alakuş. One of their joint artwork is on view at Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel. She participated in numerous group exhibitions, some of which were abroad. Canan Demirel, who has an open perspective, is working on her graphic design knowledge, which she has adapted to the present day by adding classical miniature techniques. It is possible to see Byzantine, Ottoman and modern days together in her studies.
