Gökçen Atamgüç was born in Mersin in 1979. She graduated from Bilkent University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 2002. She started her professional life at Eczacıbaşı INTEMA AŞ. During the years she spent there, she had the opportunity to gain experience in many areas such as project design, cost analysis, presentation, monitoring and coordination of the implementation phase within the design team. In 2004, she took part in the design team of Büyükhanlı Kardeşler İnş. AŞ's Marriot Hotel project. After starting to work with Architect Akın Nalça in 2006, unlike her previous jobs, she designed designs that would meet the needs of commercial and cultural structures such as office spaces, fair stands, stores and showrooms, and gained experience in relevant organizations. Aiming to present her works, in which she combines her own imagination and lines with what she has learned from the giants of the sector, as creative and original designs, Gökçen Atamgüç founded her own company in 2010 under the name of “Güzel Anlar Güzel Memories by Gökçen Atamgüç”. GA by GA mainly carries out various events, workshops, social responsibility projects, organizations, origami trainings for children and adults for companies, schools and municipalities; and offers modern and creative ideas based on her own designs for showcases, products, etc. Between 2016 and 2018, she worked as an origami club instructor at the Private Şişli Terakki Foundation Schools in Istanbul. In addition, she has been organizing origami art workshops for children at the Istanbul Toy Museum since 2012, and in addition, she wrote the origami book, which includes some of her works. Since 2019, she has been creating origami portraits by bringing a different perspective to the art of origami.
