Özgen Ulukutlu

He studied Physics and mainly Economics at Boğaziçi University and graduated in 1985. He was constantly involved in art thanks to his special interest in art history and philosophy; and workshops in ceramics and photography clubs. During his 21-year career in the financial world, he received training in creativity and painting techniques for his personal development. After 2006, he focused on abstract paintings using mixed techniques. He attaches importance to continuously improving his professional education by attending workshops with painters Memduh Kuzay, Hayrettin Sönmez and Ziyat Sultanov. In addition to his paintings, he brought together his poems, which he wrote based on visuals and memories that inspired him, in his book titled “Cibinlik” published in 2020.
