Saliha Beyza Umurca

Born in Istanbul, the artist graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Ceramics, Glass and Tile, after studying Ceramics and Glass Technology in high school. She continued her education at Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Ceramics and Glass, and graduated in 2015. She completed a double major in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at the same university and graduated in 2017. In the same year, she received her Formation Education at Marmara University, Pedagogical Formation Unit, Department of Visual Arts. Later, she received her Fine Paper Carving / Katı’ Art education at the Academy of Fine Arts. She worked in various ceramic workshops and also gave private ceramic shaping lessons and glass painting lessons. In 2019-20, she worked as an assistant in the studio of Artist Selma Gürbüz. In 2022, she studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma as an Erasmus student. She is studying at the Marmara University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Turkish Arts, Master’s Program. He continues his work by participating in various exhibitions.
